About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support audits for alternative investment fund clients, including hedge funds, venture capital, and private equity funds, through audit testing aligned with US GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnote disclosures for investment fund clients under supervision
  • Perform initial reviews and analyses of portfolio valuations, investment structures, and fair value measurements, escalating complex matters
  • Collaborate with client management and fund administrators to gather information and clarify accounting issues
  • Research technical accounting matters and assist with understanding new accounting standards and best practices for fund structures
  • Support implementation of new financial reporting requirements and accounting policy changes as directed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA candidates preferred
