About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interpret results using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex statistical analysis.
- Gather and clean data from various sources while ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Use statistical methods to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies and extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings.
- Identify KPIs and develop metrics to track and measure business performance.
- Collaborate with data engineers and IT professionals to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval.
- Maintain expertise in industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, visualization, and reporting.
- Gather, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while maintaining data integrity and governance standards.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, actionable business recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.
- Build scalable Tableau reporting using parameters, actions, filters, LODs, drilldowns, and interactive visualizations.
- Develop and maintain Tableau Prep workflows to automate data cleansing, transformation, integration, and preparation.
- Communicate complex data findings to technical and business executives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, information science or related field plus three (3) years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, BI analyst, or related profession OR a combination of education and experience equal to seven (7) years.
- Preferred: Experience with SQL, Python scripting, and Power Query for data manipulation and analysis.
- Preferred: Experience with REST API integrations and automation of data extraction and transformation workflows.
- Preferred: Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques.
- Preferred: Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, or comparable business intelligence platforms.
- Preferred: Proven experience with ServiceNow and Snowflake or Data Lake for data retrieval and extraction.
- Preferred: ServiceNow Incident and Operational analytics, including performance metrics.
