About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, upgrade, and maintain primary and backup branch connectivity and site infrastructure
- Support Edward Jones branch offices, vendor sites, and home FA locations within the assigned territory
- Maintain network hardware, computers, telephones, printers, cabling, and related infrastructure
- Complete maintenance, project, and IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) calls within deadlines
- Provide backup coverage for neighboring service areas
- Monitor and manage the ticket queue through resolution in accordance with SLAs
- Schedule ETA commitments and ensure safe, timely arrivals
- Update tickets with dates, times, resolution codes, hardware usage, and other details
- Perform asset management, equipment packaging, and shipping-log maintenance
- Provide technical support with minimal disruption to clients’ operations
- Maintain inventory of required parts and tools
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade voice, data, and AV hardware
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance for company vehicles
- Provide client training on newly implemented systems
- Operate a company vehicle for work assignments
- Participate in additional projects and provide on-call support via company-issued cellphone
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree from an accredited college, technical school, or university, or two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling two (2) years
- Supports the Marion, NC territory and resides within the assigned territory to meet operational requirements
- Regular travel up to 3 hours in one direction to branch locations within the assigned region
- Reliable high-speed internet access for work-related tasks
- Ability to read and review information on computer monitors for prolonged durations
- Physical ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, squat, crawl, climb, twist, kneel, reach, hold and grip objects, and lift and transport equipment, including in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to operate a company vehicle
