About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Edward Jones branch offices, vendor sites, and home FA locations within the assigned territory
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain primary and backup branch connectivity and site infrastructure
  • Maintain network hardware, computers, telephones, printers, and cabling
  • Manage maintenance, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks, and various projects
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, rollout schedules, and deadlines
  • Provide client training on newly implemented systems
  • Complete maintenance, project, and IMAC calls independently within deadlines
  • Provide backup coverage for neighboring service areas
  • Monitor and manage the ticket queue through resolution in accordance with SLAs
  • Schedule ETA commitments and ensure safe, timely arrival
  • Update tickets with dates, times, resolution codes, hardware usage, and other details
  • Perform asset management transactions, equipment packaging, and shipping-log updates
  • Provide technical support with minimal disruption to client operations
  • Maintain inventory of required parts and tools
  • Use documentation and tools for on-site and remote repairs
  • Schedule and arrange maintenance for company vehicles
  • Operate a company vehicle for work assignments
  • Deliver customer service and participate in additional projects
  • Carry and respond to a company-issued cellphone for on-call support as required
  • Travel regularly up to 3 hours one way to Edward Jones branch locations within the Watertown, SD territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college, technical school, or university, or two (2) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling two (2) years
  • Reside within the assigned territory to meet operational requirements
  • Reliable high-speed internet access for work-related tasks
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade voice, data, and AV hardware, including network equipment, desktop terminals, monitors, printers, telephony devices, and cabling
  • Ability to read and review information on computer monitors for prolonged durations
  • Physical ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, squat, crawl, climb, twist, kneel, reach, grip objects, and lift and transport equipment, including in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for equipment repairs
