About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete all aspects of accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adherence to quality control standards
  • Demonstrate understanding of clients’ businesses, including analysis and planning of client engagements
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within requested timeframes, explaining variances when needed
  • Achieve charge hour goals
  • Review associates’ accounting, tax or auditing work and provide constructive review points
  • May supervise associates on engagements
  • Train and mentor associate staff
  • Assist Managers or Directors with the client billing process when involved
  • Identify and develop knowledge in a selected specialty practice
  • Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen to incorporate cross-serve opportunities into client engagements
  • Participate in practice development activities, including membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements
  • Execute assigned administrative duties
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
