About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the client’s trusted advisor and identify client issues, conflicts, and solution options
  • Manage staff and engagement deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and work papers
  • Perform technical and strategic reviews and ensure quality-control standards, on-time delivery, and budget adherence
  • Apply technical knowledge of client responsibilities, industry trends, and alternatives
  • Understand client organizations, procedures, and internal policies
  • Develop new clients with upper management and participate in meetings, presentations, proposals, and cross-selling
  • Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects
  • Develop engagement budgets and meet charge-hour goals
  • Manage billing and realization and explain variances
  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff
  • Foster a positive team environment and support management decisions
  • Participate in practice-development activities generating new business and cross-selling opportunities
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication throughout all levels of the organization, internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field preferred
