About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise all aspects of real estate tax engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adherence to quality control standards
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' businesses and contribute to engagement analysis and planning
  • Adhere to engagement budget constraints, complete assigned tasks within requested timeframes, and explain variances when needed
  • Achieve charge hour goals
  • Review engagement team members' accounting, tax, or auditing work and provide constructive review points
  • Supervise and guide team members on engagements, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Train and mentor engagement team members to support technical and professional development
  • Assist Managers, Directors, or Managing Directors with client billing
  • Identify an industry or area of specialization and develop related skills, knowledge, and expertise
  • Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen to incorporate cross-serve opportunities into client engagements
  • Participate in practice development activities, including membership in qualified organizations and referring potential engagements
  • Execute administrative duties as assigned
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Taxation or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
