About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead design delivery across multiple large-scale data centre projects
- Manage A&E consultants and multidisciplinary design teams
- Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and specialist design inputs
- Drive design programmes and deliverables, ensuring documentation is produced on time and to a high standard
- Manage planning, consenting and building permit activities with internal teams and external authorities
- Review designs to improve constructability and mitigate programme and financial risk
- Champion Safety in Design, collaboration and continuous improvement throughout the design and construction lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors and vendors from concept and planning through construction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in design management or multidisciplinary design delivery, ideally across data centres, major construction, critical infrastructure or other complex built environments
- Strong understanding of engineering design and coordination of multiple technical disciplines
- Demonstrated experience driving project outcomes, managing design consultants, contractors and competing project priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to drive teams towards key design milestones
- Degree or relevant qualification in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is highly regarded
- Australian Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance
