Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Welding

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and optimize welding and fabrication processes
- Support and develop laser, TIG, and MIG welding technologies
- Lead manufacturing improvement and cost reduction projects
- Support new product launches and process validation
- Troubleshoot production and quality issues using root cause analysis
- Create work instructions, process documentation, and training materials
- Partner with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve performance
- Drive global welding process development, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement of weld projects
- Drive productivity, quality, safety, and cost improvements in a metal fabrication manufacturing environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Welding Engineering, or related fields
- 8-10 years of experience in welding or metal fabrication manufacturing
- CWI, CWEng, or Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives
- Ability and experience supporting robotic processes and procedures
- Understanding of metallurgy
- Some travel may be required
- Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to perform sedentary work involving up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly
