About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop product designs and fabrication drawing packages
- Design thermal oxidizers manufactured by CECO Environmental and other companies
- Facilitate internal workflow as required
- Collaborate in person and remotely with Project Management and Engineering professionals to develop design concepts and engineering documents
- Receive, review, and interpret project requirements and design information, including SOWs, ESRs, calculations, placement sketches, construction notes, controls component specifications, and internals order forms
- Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries
- Interact closely with Project Engineers and Manufacturing Personnel to meet customer needs
- Produce 3D parts, assemblies, layouts, CAD models, general arrangement and fabrication drawings, bills of materials, and prototype designs using AutoDesk Inventor
- Correct existing drawings following the quality review process
- Determine appropriate drawing methods using customized CAD templates, standard templates, or existing CAD files
- Review drawings from other drafters for alignment with scoping and corporate drafting standards
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3–5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 years of demonstrated experience in a mechanical engineering field may substitute for the degree
- Working proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor required
- Prior experience in engineering design helpful
- Basic understanding of controls and instrumentation
- Ability to take concept to design
- Basic understanding of welding processes, callouts, and applications
- Ability to travel as needed and across borders
- Ability to manage boundaries between work and personal life effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks
- Compliance with company attendance standards
