About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, digital outreach, customer engagement, market research, and industry networking
  • Evaluate customer and project opportunities for strategic fit, revenue potential, competitive positioning, and alignment with Kemco solutions
  • Qualify opportunities by assessing customer requirements, project scope, budget, timing, business objectives, and technical requirements
  • Develop and implement account growth strategies
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with distributors, consulting engineers, contractors, end users, and strategic partners
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and commercial leadership
  • Recommend sales approaches, pricing strategies, commercial terms, and customer engagement plans
  • Manage opportunities through qualification, proposal support, customer engagement, negotiation support, follow-up, and order acquisition
  • Identify cross-selling, upselling, and strategic account expansion opportunities
  • Develop account plans for assigned customers and targeted prospects
  • Analyze customer needs, purchasing trends, market conditions, competitive intelligence, and commercial data
  • Support annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasting processes
  • Prepare forecasts, opportunity assessments, business analyses, reports, pipeline summaries, and commercial recommendations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and prospects
  • Provide product, application, and solution information
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer concerns and execute customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate customer, contact, activity, opportunity, and forecast information in the CRM system
  • Manage and prioritize the sales pipeline
  • Monitor commercial metrics and communicate performance updates to leadership
  • Partner with engineering, operations, project management, customer service, and other business functions
  • Participate in commercial planning sessions, sales meetings, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Represent Kemco professionally in internal and external interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in inside sales, account management, business development, technical sales, or a related commercial role
  • Demonstrated success generating leads, developing opportunities, and supporting revenue growth initiatives
  • Experience evaluating business opportunities and managing opportunities through multiple stages of the sales cycle
  • Experience with strategic account management, opportunity evaluation, forecasting, commercial analysis, and business decision-making in a sales or account management environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in prioritizing activities and managing customer opportunities
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems
  • Strong consultative selling and customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Occasional travel, generally up to 15%, may be required
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Compliance with company safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Preferred: Five (5) or more years of experience in industrial sales, technical sales, account management, or business development
  • Preferred: Experience supporting engineered systems, industrial equipment, water treatment systems, manufacturing operations, or similar technical markets
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM platforms
  • Preferred: Experience developing sales forecasts, performance reports, and pipeline analyses
  • Preferred: Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex solutions effectively
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP systems and commercial business processes
  • Preferred: Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, filtration, fluid handling, chemical processing, or related industrial markets
  • Preferred: Experience launching new products or expanding into new markets
  • Preferred: Experience working with distributors, manufacturer representatives, and channel partners
  • Preferred: Experience selling into food and beverage, commercial laundry, metal finishing, plating, anodizing, manufacturing, or industrial processing environments
  • Preferred: Experience within a global or international organization
  • Preferred: Experience with project-based sales cycles and engineered-to-order products
  • Preferred: Engineering background or technical education supporting industrial applications
