About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of professionals to complete projects by established deadlines
  • Oversee and manage design and supply activities for industrial equipment and system projects
  • Interact with customers and project teams to align planning, scheduling, and resource coordination with budget, scope, and timeline
  • Review contracts for compliance and protection of company interests
  • Gather proposals, customer requirements, equipment selection information, and in-house specifications
  • Assemble project teams for review, coordination, and execution
  • Develop, adjust, and manage project schedules and timelines
  • Serve as the primary contact for external and internal customers
  • Develop, facilitate, and control project communications
  • Disseminate project information to team members
  • Facilitate project charters, business cases, milestone documents, and deliverables
  • Create and maintain issue and risk logs, facilitate resolution and mitigation, and escalate when appropriate
  • Coordinate verification and release of project deliverables
  • Manage project scope changes using change-control processes
  • Assist with resource planning and staffing throughout project phases, including post-installation
  • Monitor project budgets, forecast costs and expenditures, and report excessive variations
  • Process project invoices, follow up on payments, and reconcile accordingly
  • Prepare requisitions for purchased items and services
  • Prepare project reports, including monthly percent-complete reports for accounting
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in an original equipment design and manufacturing environment, preferably OEM Manufacturing
  • Experience with industrial equipment engineering, design, and fabrication is a plus
  • Experience with project scheduling and ERP software, preferably Microsoft Project and D365
  • Knowledge of general contract terms and conditions
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, including blueprints, Process Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), specifications, and data sheets
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple, complex projects with competing priorities
  • Strong client management skills and ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Travel required up to 30% to support customer meetings, project reviews, and supplier/vendor visits
  • Compliance with company attendance standards
  • Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally
