Key responsibilities & impact

Own the architecture and scalability of CEEZER's B2B procurement platform for carbon credits, Energy Attribution Certificates, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates
Drive end-to-end technical strategy, design, and architecture, translating product requirements into performant, scalable features
Collaborate with product, design, and commercial teams to evaluate trade-offs and engineer user-centric solutions
Shape platform strategy and architecture, balancing scalability, security, reliability, speed, quality, and long-term cost
Set goals, define priorities, measure outcomes, and hold the team accountable
Cultivate engineering excellence through mentorship, technical guidance, and rigorous code reviews
Lead hands-on technical execution and author maintainable code across the TypeScript, Node.js, and Next.js stack
Participate in the hiring process, technical interview, and case study stages

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
2+ years leading and managing engineers, including hiring, developing people, and running a team through complex, full lifecycle product deliveries
Strong product and business mindset, understanding how past work affected customers, revenue, or company goals
Deep technical proficiency in TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem
Hands-on experience building data-dense interfaces in React or Next.js
Experience in API design, backend architecture, and relational data modelling; PostgreSQL preferred
Experience with cloud-native infrastructure on platforms such as AWS
Excellent communication skills, translating between technical and business audiences and aligning stakeholders
Basic familiarity with Python is a plus, or strong technical curiosity to expand into auxiliary parts of the data processing stack
Eligibility to work in Germany, Portugal, or the UK
