About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in cross-functional teams with designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership
- Develop new electrical systems and circuits for various applications
- Research system ideas and create plans, schematics and system specifications
- Test, simulate, validate and qualify electrical systems, making adjustments as needed
- Support manufacturing of designed electrical systems
- Lead smaller projects and coordinate with other engineers, including reviewing their work
- Review customer documentation and conduct research, analysis and experiments
- Create technical proposals, including solutions and timelines
- Design, modify and implement systems meeting customer and Celestica needs
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, contractors and internal teams
- Recommend system modifications
- Create reports and documentation
- Keep current with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 to 3 years of related experience
- Experience in similar job roles
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to design, develop and implement technical solutions in two or more technical areas
- Ability to review and interpret customer documentation and conduct research, analysis and experiments with minimal direction
- Knowledge of electrical systems/circuits, schematics, system specifications, bills of material, diagrams and drawings
- Ability to test, simulate, validate, qualify and troubleshoot system performance
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations
- Ability to solve complex problems and analyze and interpret data
- Occasional travel may be required
