About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate 24/7 coverage based on established team staffing patterns and patient care needs
- Collaborate with designated leadership regarding staffing needs, scheduling gaps and team coverage
- Work with leadership to identify positions and staffing levels needed to maintain core coverage based on budgeted and actual patient census data
- Assist with the appropriate allocation of nursing and support personnel based on patient census and acuity
- Communicate with leaders and team members to address changing staffing needs and maintain continuity of care
- Demonstrate family centered care principles through respectful, compassionate interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and other members of the care team
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma
- Previous scheduling experience
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Completion of post-secondary secretarial program preferred
- Previous medical experience preferred
