About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, write, and maintain scalable automated test suites across Unit, Integration, API, and End-to-End layers
Reduce redundancy in test automation and review false generated positives
Focus test scenarios from the customer perspective, covering positive and negative cases
Pair with developers to implement tests at all levels and advise on unit, integration, and E2E coverage
Mentor peers on QA best practices, test design patterns, clean code in test repositories, and the Testing Pyramid
Translate requirements into risk-focused test scenarios with Product, Business, and Engineering stakeholders
Participate in implementing CI/CD pipelines and monitor builds, pipelines, and test failures
Perform targeted manual testing, identify edge cases, mitigate defects early, and convert findings into automated tests
Review internal processes, services, and tools and help implement improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in software engineering or quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on building scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure
Demonstrable experience creating and designing tests using REST APIs
Proficiency in at least one modern frontend/e2e framework like Rspec, Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer, alongside API test automation experience
Practical experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong proficiency with Git, including branching strategies and resolving complex merge conflicts
Solid understanding of the Agile SDLC (Jira), customer-centric test design, and common API security risks (OWASP Top 10)
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Understanding of the Testing Pyramid and automated testing levels, types, approaches, benefits, drawbacks, and use cases
