About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, implement, and support business-managed applications, automations, data solutions, and reporting capabilities
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions
Support the complete solution lifecycle, including intake, requirements gathering, solution design, application development, testing, deployment, production support, documentation, modernization, and continuous improvement
Provide technical guidance to other developers
Promote development standards and participate in code reviews
Strengthen the reliability and maintainability of the application portfolio
Write code for software programs and applications using classes, inheritance, virtualization, and best programming practices
Develop and support solutions using SQL, C#, Python, .NET, APIs, Power BI, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, and related platforms
Perform complex research and advanced analysis to identify optimal solutions, methods, and tools
Collaborate with and mentor peers on development and solution strategy
Conduct regular code reviews and pull requests
Lead and facilitate requirements-gathering meetings
Maintain communication with stakeholders during solution development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
Completion of a technical training program (e.g., LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Advanced SQL and relational database experience
Experience with C#, Python, .NET, or comparable object-oriented programming languages
Intermediate knowledge with Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Teradata, or similar database platforms
API and systems integration experience
Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools
Experience supporting production applications in an operational environment
Healthcare, managed care, claims, or healthcare operations experience
Experience modernizing legacy applications, databases, reporting solutions, or automations
Basic understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
