About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and operationalize AI-enabled applications and solutions
Develop, manage, and administer cloud infrastructure as code on AWS or Azure
Review reported cloud-component vulnerabilities and remediate them within SLA
Follow audit standards, controls, and processes to monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure
Maintain current knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices
Execute code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure
Build AI agentic solutions using Large Language Models, Machine Learning, and Generative AI
Write production-quality code with appropriate tests and documentation
Progress prototypes toward deploying and supporting production AI capabilities
Partner with teams on enhancements and software migrations
Communicate with Development, Network, and Security groups and integrate requirements into environment build plans
Build and maintain capacity plans for cloud-based deployments
Design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics, under lead architect direction
Deliver continuous integration and delivery pipelines and DevSecOps standards and tooling
Enable development teams to execute builds, run tests, and deploy automatically
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all policies and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 0–2 years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill, or completion of a Centene-sponsored emerging talent program
0–2 years of experience with Python through coursework, internships, research, professional work, or personal projects
Understanding of APIs, data structures, algorithms, databases, and version control
Understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and LLM platforms and APIs
Experience building at least one AI/ML application or project through coursework, internships, hackathons, research, or independent development/open-source contributions
Experience integrating AI models and services into applications using REST APIs, SDKs, and microservices
Familiarity with Git/GitHub or GitLab
