About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead development and operationalization of data pipelines for reports and advanced analytics
Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, quality assurance, pipeline optimization, and orchestration
Work closely with the DevSecOps Engineer during continuous integration and continuous deployment
Lead design and implementation of standardized data management procedures for staging, ingestion, preparation, provisioning, and destruction
Lead data engineers in designing, developing, implementing, testing, documenting, and operating large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures
Lead design, development, and maintenance of real-time processing applications and data pipelines
Ensure the quality of technical solutions as data moves across Centene’s environments
Provide insight into changing data processing, storage, and utilization requirements and suggest solutions
Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures using advanced programming languages and tools
Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality; identify tasks that can be automated
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 5–7 years of related experience
Equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position may substitute
Advanced Data Modeling experience
Established experience with Solutions Architecture
Experience with Data Manipulation and Data Mining
Experience developing strategy and structure around Data Analysis
Advanced knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of Snowflake
Experience with Databricks
Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to work independently
Demonstrated analytical skills
Demonstrated project management skills
High level of accuracy, even under pressure
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management
