About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Finance System Analyst team
- Oversee daily operations and activities of the team
- Ensure projects align with business objectives and are completed on time and within budget
- Provide broader guidance on project management and overall quality
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and other departments
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Participate in developing and executing strategic plans for financial systems
- Lead the finance systems product backlog and prioritize development efforts
- Support and mentor production support staff with complex issue resolution
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend integration
- Support managers in leading cross-functional system implementation and improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field required
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems or a similar role
- Leadership experience required
- Extensive knowledge of financial systems
- Extensive knowledge of data management
- Extensive knowledge of project management
- Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in accordance with the LA County Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act
