About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
- Develop and implement data protection strategies across cloud and on-premises environments
- Recommend and implement enhancements to enterprise document labeling, classification, and handling processes
- Maintain DLP documentation, including configurations, policies, and incident response procedures
- Lead investigations and documentation of complex or high-risk DLP alerts
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to analysts
- Partner with Privacy, Compliance, Legal, and IT stakeholders
- Develop and maintain DLP metrics, dashboards, and reporting
- Stay informed on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements impacting data protection
- Comply with all policies and standards and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Systems, Cybersecurity/Information Security, Privacy, Risk or Governance fields or other related field or equivalent experience required
- 4+ years of experience in data governance, data protection, information security operations or related technical domain
- Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated data environments
- Advanced working knowledge of data classification, data sensitivity, and secure data handling practices
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Advanced experience supporting or leading data protection or information security initiatives in regulated complex environments preferred
- Experience owning or leading components of a data protection or DLP program preferred
- Experience designing, tuning, or optimizing enterprise data protection controls preferred
- Experience mentoring or providing guidance to other analysts preferred
- Experience applying AI-assisted tools to DLP operations and implementing AI risk controls for AI/GenAI data protection preferred
- Privacy, Security, Analytics or other industry related certification(s) preferred
