About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee department staff, including hiring, performance management, and career development
Develop budgets and priorities and align plans and resource allocations with them
Coordinate organizational plans and activities with senior leaders inside and outside IT and strategic suppliers
Analyze customer needs and recommend or develop priorities for feasibility studies, systems design, and implementation
Transform the PMO operating model toward strategic delivery, transparency, and measurable outcomes
Establish enterprise standards for project governance, portfolio management, reporting, risk escalation, and delivery accountability
Improve portfolio performance and move approximately 80% of the portfolio to green status
Create metrics-driven visibility into delivery quality, project health, resource demand, and execution risk
Advance tooling, automation, and AI adoption
Align delivery across BTS by connecting project managers, program managers, delivery leads, and contractors
Strengthen organizational capability through skills development, coaching, performance management, and expectation-setting
Apply process and business expertise to impact business results
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all policies and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience required
10+ years of diverse IT experience required
Previous experience managing staff, including hiring, training, managing workload and performance
Experience developing budgets and priorities
Experience coordinating with senior leaders inside and outside IT and strategic suppliers
Experience with project governance, portfolio management, reporting, risk escalation, and delivery accountability
ServiceNow experience viewed as an advantage
Ability to build skills, coach leaders, manage performance, and clarify expectations
Equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position
