About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and execution of the overall CIS marketing strategy
- Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across CIS-owned social media channels
- Monitor social media channels and respond to comments or messages professionally and promptly
- Support campaigns by drafting posts, creating visuals and/or video, and aligning content with cybersecurity trends and CIS messaging
- Research industry news, competitor activity, and trending topics to inform content ideas
- Track and report social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and follower growth
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on creative ideas to increase brand awareness and thought leadership
- Repurpose long-form content such as blogs and white papers into social media assets
- Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and organic and paid social media best practices
- Build, update, and maintain targeted media lists
- Assist in writing and distributing press releases
- Assist with material distribution, story pitching, and subject matter expert preparation for media interviews
- Track media coverage, identify industry trends, and compile reports on mentions
- Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of study in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in Canva Design
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and comfortable designing in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Editing skills in Premiere and After Effects are a bonus
- Knowledgeable with marketing functions and social media platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with grammar and spelling
- Organized with the ability to handle multiple projects within tight time constraints
- Strong communication, problem solving, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Plus: experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
- Plus: experience with Sprout Social, Pardot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other marketing tools
- Plus: familiarity with Muck Rack, EIN Presswire, and Talkwalker
