About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently
  • Provide customer service to patients and families
  • Schedule patient appointments using the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Respond to inquiries about services, appointment availability, billing, and general information
  • Assist with appointment rescheduling and cancellations
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Educate patients about healthcare services, office policies, and available resources
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate call records
  • Document complaints and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, administrative teams, and other departments
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality and data security
  • Achieve call quality, response time, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Conduct outreach to callers regarding issue or request status and resolution
  • Follow company, department, compliance, and Code of Conduct requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree preferred, or equivalent relevant call center years of experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, quality, and/or auditing
  • Must be bilingual in English and one of: Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Korean, Albanian, or a similar language
  • Must provide valid government-issued identification proving age of at least 18
  • Able to pass a typing test with at least 40 WPM
  • Alternative means of working during power or internet outages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet assigned deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Maintain and utilize required work equipment
  • Reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi connection
  • Successfully complete mandatory training programs
  • Ability to meet stated physical requirements, including standing, sitting, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, bending/squatting, navigating stairs and walking, fine motor skills, visual accuracy, audio hearing and language motor skills, and cognitive decision-making abilities
