About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the first contact for patient care
- Perform administrative tasks in addition to patient care
- Perform varied, moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments
- Perform computations and other assigned tasks
- Document patient symptoms in EMR
- Take and record vital signs
- Administer injections
- Perform diagnostic tests
- Collect specimens and draw blood
- Sterilize equipment
- Maintain examination rooms
- Report to the Center Administrator
- Participate in Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful completion of MA school/training program OR Certified/Registered Medical Assistant OR 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medication/vaccine administration experience
- CPR Certified
- Must complete tuberculosis (TB) screening if selected
- Certified or Registered preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Value-based Care experience preferred, including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
