About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation
- Dispense Specialty Rx medications
- Perform varied, moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments
- Perform computations
- Contact physicians for prescription clarification
- Enter prescription orders into the system
- Support pharmacists and patients by following Specialty Rx operational processes and programs
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers
- Identify work expectations and quality standards within defined parameters
- Prioritize and time assignments with limited direction
- Work independently while following standard policies and practices
- Complete virtual training during the first few weeks of employment
- Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates MUST reside in Arizona, Florida, or Ohio
- Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license with the Board of Pharmacy in the state you reside
- Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or inbound and/or outbound phone experience
- Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, including use of multiple computer applications simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong data entry
- Experience in healthcare preferred
- Call center experience preferred
- Resume attachment in PDF or Word format
- Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM EST after training
- Ability to complete virtual training during the first few weeks of employment
