About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, HR, and business teams by providing reporting expertise, recommendations, and solutions
Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and system solutions from design through implementation
Manage and support financial systems, including configuration, workflows, security access, and integrations
Participate in Workday updates, enhancements, and system improvements
Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics, including Adaptive Planning reporting
Provide training, guidance, and ongoing user support
Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and resolve them in a timely manner
Monitor system performance, data quality, and security for compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with IT, HR, Finance, and FP&A to improve processes and system connectivity
Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and platform capabilities
Support testing, implementation, and adoption of new features, upgrades, and integrations
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
Contribute to additional financial reporting and systems initiatives as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience developing financial and management reporting within financial institutions, supporting FP&A and corporate stakeholders
5+ years of experience working with Workday Financials or a similar enterprise financial system, including administration, configuration, and support
Strong understanding of core financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills
Hands-on experience managing, configuring, and optimizing financial systems
Experience with ERP implementations, administration, and system integrations
Knowledge of reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos BI, or similar platforms
CPA designation or a degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline is considered an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
