About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and qualify POS and terminal providers, gateways, PSPs and resellers with merchant reach
- Build relationships with commercial, product and operational leads
- Shape mutually beneficial partner propositions
- Take opportunities from discovery through negotiation
- Drive partner agreements from signature to launch
- Get Centrapay live on partner platforms
- Maintain account plans, forecasts and CRM
- Meet revenue, transaction and activation targets
- Develop expertise in open banking, digital wallets, POS, in-store and ecommerce payments
- Share market knowledge
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance and Marketing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercially minded business development professional with some experience in payments, banking or fintech
- Building knowledge of the New Zealand payments market
- Comfortable establishing relationships with channel contacts
- Experience or strong interest in partner or channel work, including supporting go-to-market activity
- Strong negotiation skills and confidence handling partnership contracts
- Ability to build trust with commercial and technical stakeholders
- Proactive, persistent, hunter mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to meet partners
- Based in Auckland
- Full New Zealand driving licence
