About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate across Senior Leadership, Recruitment, Onboarding, Business Development, Operations, Marketing, and other parties involved in contracting
  • Maintain detailed records of AMG physician contracts and related compensation arrangements
  • Review and manage requests submitted through the Physician Contracting Database, IronClad
  • Ensure IronClad requests contain accurate details and complete materials; coordinate completion with Operations or departments when needed
  • Develop physician compensation plans or leverage standardized plans while ensuring equity across similarly trained and experienced physicians
  • Conduct Fair Market Valuation on physician compensation models and confirm compliance with Fair Market Guidelines
  • Compile accurate and complete materials for submission to the Atlantic Physician Compensation Committee
  • Attend APCC meetings and provide guidance and insight to support decision-making
  • Draft term sheets and employment contracts for new recruits and renewals
  • Partner with Legal to review agreements before release to physicians
  • Collaborate with Physician Recruitment to present term sheets and employment agreements
  • Follow up with physicians regarding contract questions, requests, and negotiations
  • Provide IronClad reports to Senior Leadership, Operations, and Business Development
  • Monitor physician compensation trends and regulatory changes affecting employment and compensation practices
  • Evaluate departmental processes and incorporate best practices into physician compensation and contracting processes
  • Solicit feedback to improve departmental processes and protocols
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, human resources, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in physician compensation, physician contracting, healthcare administration, compensation, contract administration, or a related field
  • Experience working with complex compensation programs, contracts, or healthcare business processes
  • Strong understanding of compensation administration and/or physician contracting practices
  • Experience managing complex, multi-step processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret detailed contractual and compensation information
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex healthcare environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
  • Ability to multitask, plan, and prioritize detail-oriented work with changing deadlines
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with internal and external parties
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct efficient and productive Internet research
  • Experience with physician compensation design, Fair Market Valuations, and/or physician contracting is ideally at least 3 years
