About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support, monitor, maintain, and refine IT and security service delivery across SaaS and IaaS platforms, including AzureAD, M365, and AWS
  • Support and maintain hardware and operating system environments across Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
  • Execute day-to-day IT operational tasks, including technical investigations, account provisioning, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
  • Support internal audits and compliance baselines such as Cyber Essentials
  • Identify gaps and contribute to security risk management processes
  • Evaluate workflows, technologies, and delivery methods and propose operational improvements
  • Support and evolve operational security delivery across investigation activities
  • Collaborate with local partners, media, and justice accountability bodies in support of CIR’s mission

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Practical experience with Azure/AzureAD and SSO integrations, M365, and AWS
  • Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile OS environments
  • Practical understanding of security risk management frameworks and audit standards such as Cyber Essentials
  • Pragmatic understanding of modern AI tools, including operational opportunities and security risks
  • Active UK SC Clearance, or full eligibility to undergo SC vetting
  • Meticulous attention to detail for compliance, access management, and documentation
  • Analytical curiosity and ability to identify inefficiencies and propose viable solutions
  • Genuine dedication to the organisation’s mission
  • Ability to switch between analytical tasks and repetitive support duties without loss of quality
