About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, deploy, and manage virtual servers and virtual appliances in Microsoft Azure for production and non-production workloads
Administer and maintain edge and cloud firewall platforms, including policy design, troubleshooting, and optimization
Manage and troubleshoot network routing infrastructure, including WAN and site connectivity
Configure, operate, and support network switching environments
Administer Microsoft domain services, including Active Directory, M365 Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Implement and maintain hardening and security best practices for cloud infrastructure, Windows servers, and network devices
Manage and support wireless infrastructure, including access point configuration, security, and performance tuning
Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and Terraform
Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration management, and operational efficiency
Identify and automate recurring IT and infrastructure tasks
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune
Design, configure, and manage Copilot agents for productivity, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
Utilize network visibility and observability tools to identify performance or connectivity issues and drive remediation
Participate in infrastructure planning, system upgrades, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in an on-call rotation with the Infrastructure Engineering team
Manage, configure, and support the Cohesity platform for backup, recovery, and data protection services
Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, and IT Operations to provide scalable, resilient, and secure platforms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience managing Azure-based virtual infrastructure and cloud services
Strong hands-on experience with networking fundamentals, including firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless technologies
Solid understanding of Microsoft identity and directory services in enterprise environments
Demonstrated experience with automation and scripting, particularly using PowerShell
2+ years’ experience working with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps-style workflows
Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, server, and network layers
Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced IT environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Understanding of Git setup and GitFlow in source control platforms such as GitHub and Bitbucket
Working understanding and experience using Software Development Lifecycle patterns, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
2+ years’ experience managing workloads and VMs in Microsoft Azure required
2+ years’ experience with Meraki networking, wireless, and security platforms
2+ years’ experience with Palo Alto firewalls
2+ years’ experience with Cisco IOS-based switching environments
Familiarity with enterprise observability and network visibility platforms
Relevant cloud, networking, or security certifications are a plus, including Microsoft Azure, Cisco, and security-focused certifications
