About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research and analyze AI hardware, software, infrastructure trends, and industry announcements
- Identify meaningful developments and differentiated story angles
- Write technical articles and research that make complex ideas accessible without sacrificing accuracy
- Build demos and run reproducible benchmarks to test claims, explore tradeoffs, and support published analysis
- Synthesize technical and financial information from primary sources, expert conversations, and hands-on work
- Partner with DevRel, engineering, and New Media to develop technically grounded content and validate conclusions
- Represent Cerebras at industry conferences and turn relevant findings into research and content
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, coding, and writing while independently verifying sources, results, and claims
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep expertise in AI hardware or software, including architectural and system tradeoffs affecting performance and practical use
- Strong research judgment: evaluate source quality, distinguish evidence from assumptions, and revise conclusions when evidence changes
- Clear technical writing and communication, with a point of view supported by evidence
- Hands-on ability to build demos, design fair benchmarks, and explain limitations
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technical subjects, collaborate with experts, and incorporate feedback
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and judgment about where human verification is necessary
- Strong portfolio of externally published technical writing, research, or other substantive technical content
- 2–3 years of experience in hardware, AI software, technical research, or a similarly analytical environment
- Demonstrated experience building demos or running benchmarks, with ability to explain personal contributions and methodology
- Location in Sunnyvale, California, with hybrid work arrangement
- Compliance with applicable U.S. export regulations may require export authorization or licensing
