About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze AI hardware, software, infrastructure trends, and industry announcements
- Identify meaningful developments, differentiated story angles, and evidence-supported points of view
- Write articles and research that explain complex technical ideas accurately and accessibly
- Build demos and run reproducible benchmarks to test claims, investigate performance, and explore tradeoffs
- Document methodology, assumptions, and limitations
- Synthesize technical and financial information from primary sources, expert conversations, and hands-on work
- Evaluate source quality and revise conclusions when evidence changes
- Partner with Developer Relations, Engineering, and New Media to develop content and validate conclusions
- Incorporate expert and editorial feedback
- Represent Cerebras at industry conferences
- Turn relevant findings and conversations into useful research and content
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, coding, and writing while independently verifying sources, results, and claims
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of experience in hardware, AI software, technical research, or a similarly analytical environment
- Strong portfolio of externally published technical writing, research, or other substantive technical content
- Deep expertise in AI hardware or software, including architectural and system tradeoffs affecting performance and practical use
- Demonstrated experience building demos or running benchmarks, including explaining personal contributions, methodology, and results
- Clear technical writing and communication skills
- Strong research judgment, including evaluating sources, distinguishing evidence from assumptions, designing fair comparisons, and communicating limitations
- Good editorial judgment about original, useful, and engaging technical content
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technical subjects, collaborate with experts, incorporate critical feedback, and deliver under a deadline
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and judgment about independent verification
- Preferred: experience combining technical and financial analysis to explain AI infrastructure developments
- Preferred: experience turning conference findings or conversations with technical experts into published research
- Must provide a required application location
- Export compliance assessment may require U.S. person status or government authorization for access to controlled source code and technology
