About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and implement youth apprenticeship programs with educational institutions, industry partners, and community organizations
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry representatives, community organizations, and government agencies
  • Recruit eligible youth participants through outreach, informational sessions, and application processes
  • Collaborate with educators and industry experts to develop and enhance apprenticeship curricula
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations, participant support, progress monitoring, and guidance
  • Establish mentorship networks and support apprentices and mentors
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, collect outcome data, and prepare stakeholder reports
  • Monitor policies and regulations related to youth apprenticeships and advocate for supportive policies
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices, trends, and innovations through professional development and networking
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, business, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience developing and managing youth apprenticeship programs, preferably with educational institutions and industry partners
  • Strong knowledge of youth development principles, career and technical education, and workforce development strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Passion for youth empowerment and commitment to equitable access to education and employment opportunities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work in a professional, flexible, and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in multiple settings, including agency, school, work-related sites, or home office
  • Position may require evenings, weekends, travel to multiple work sites, and occasional out-of-town travel
  • Ability to drive between schools and districts
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment, office products, and supplies up to 20 pounds
