About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of mechanical maintenance projects and inspections across CF Industries’ Distribution Facilities
- Perform or manage maintenance on fixed and rotating industrial refrigeration equipment, process piping, pressure vessels, low pressure storage tanks, pumps, and compressors
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for maintenance inspections and projects
- Provide remote consultation and on-site assistance for routine and emergency equipment repairs
- Coordinate mechanical maintenance across Distribution Facilities and guide cross-functional teams
- Provide on-site training to Distribution personnel in mechanical equipment inspection and maintenance
- Lead safety initiatives, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement through predictive maintenance and collaborative problem-solving
- Develop and implement programmed maintenance plans, record-keeping practices, and emergency response procedures
- Communicate maintenance activities and terminal status to leadership
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors on job scopes and maintenance plans
- Oversee on-site and off-site contractor work, safety, and performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in plant mechanical maintenance or a closely related field
- Mechanical aptitude diagnosing and repairing fixed and rotating equipment
- Experience interpreting technical documentation, managing preventive maintenance schedules, and applying root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
- Ability to interpret and apply API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, NBIC, and local jurisdictional standards
- Prior project management experience, including scope development, scheduling, resource allocation, and contractor oversight
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain a passport and/or a temporary residence permit to travel to Canada on an as-needed basis
- Ability to travel 70-80% of the time
