About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide overnight and weekend on-call coverage for the Hope's Voice Hotline
  • Respond by dispatch within required response times to hospitals, law enforcement agencies, community locations, and legal settings
  • Provide crisis intervention to survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault
  • Conduct danger and lethality assessments and develop and document individualized safety plans
  • Help survivors understand their rights and remedies, obtain emergency protective orders, and access Victim Assistance
  • Document after-hours contacts and transition survivors to daytime advocacy staff
  • Provide case management, needs assessment, goal planning, and follow-up
  • Coordinate referrals for housing, healthcare, childcare, education, employment, financial services, and other assistance
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers, courts, financial services, and social service agencies
  • Represent Hope's Voice and CFS, Corp. in community interactions and promote available services
  • Participate in outreach activities and community events
  • Maintain case notes, data collection, incident reports, and statistical reporting required by funders and regulators
  • Complete required data entry
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Stay current on trauma-informed care, IPV and sexual assault dynamics, and evidence-based prevention strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicant must be located in Knox or Daviess County, Indiana
  • Must be available for overnight and weekend on-call shifts
  • Must respond to dispatches within 15 minutes
  • Must maintain reliable phone access
  • Valid Indiana driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Current auto insurance required
  • Must pass all pre-employment screening requirements of CFS, Corp. and applicable state regulations
  • No felony convictions or pending felony or misdemeanor charges that would pose risk to survivors or compromise the integrity of Hope's Voice services
  • Maintain required certifications
  • Attend mandatory training, staff meetings, and professional development as assigned
  • Adhere to VAWA, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 (where applicable), Joint Commission standards, and CFS, Corp. policies and procedures
