Grain Elevator Operator – Truck Facility Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work at a facility that loads and unloads trucks
- Participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings
- Comply with OSHA, company safety, environmental, and ISO regulations where applicable
- Wear appropriate PPE for assigned tasks
- Transfer, load, and move grain to appropriate locations
- Maintain grain quality during storage and transfer
- Weigh trucks and grade grain where applicable
- Complete documentation accurately and timely
- Perform general cleanup, including sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting, and housekeeping
- Operate, monitor, and shut down grain dryers where applicable
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs where applicable
- Operate heavy equipment where applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- No experience required
- Preferred: 1 year of experience working in an industrial environment with a dependable work record
- Basic mathematical skills
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to complete documentation requirements
- Ability to follow directions, interpret oral and written instructions, and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to use tools appropriate for assigned tasks
- Ability to provide exceptional internal and external customer service
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting/pushing/pulling 50 lbs.
- Ability to use applicable PPE and meet PFT and fit-testing requirements where applicable
- Ability to pass required FRA and DOT testing where applicable
- Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed
- Ability to work in high-dust environments around grain and bulk products where applicable
- Legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship unavailable
