About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support corporate-wide safety activities
  • Direct and support performance improvement initiatives
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety at all PMS facilities
  • Assure compliance with accreditation standards
  • Work with PMS management and Continuous Accreditation Readiness Teams
  • Provide safety and accreditation oversight for a nonprofit healthcare organization serving underserved areas of New Mexico

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum five years’ experience in healthcare, business, administration, project management, or analytical field
  • Three or more years safety experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience as a project manager, team leader, and group facilitator
  • Computer experience required, including proficiency in spreadsheets, report production and databases
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully manage complex projects
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, make decisions and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within teams
  • Demonstrated ability to write professional reports
  • Detailed knowledge of The Joint Commission Ambulatory and other safety-related state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License
  • Must provide a current motor vehicle record
  • Must provide current personal owner liability automobile insurance throughout employment
  • Must submit to motor vehicle record checks and maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Must comply with PMS automobile usage, drug-free workplace, and applicable state and federal laws
  • May be required to complete transportation-related trainings
  • Master’s degree, Electronic Health Records (E.H.R.) experience, and Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) certification strongly preferred
