About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Directly manage IT sourcing engagements of varying spend, risk, and complexity
Manage engagements across software licensing/maintenance, software as a service, hosted platforms/services, market data software and hosted platforms, telecom/networks, data center, hardware, desktop, and related IT outsourcing and managed services
Communicate with business stakeholders to understand strategic direction, requirements, objectives, and priorities
Shape deals and contracts to meet business requirements
Assess savings opportunities and help clients achieve optimal cost reductions
Develop and maintain IT supplier relationships and stay current on supplier products, services, and competitors
Manage competitive bids and RFXs using automated e-tools
Lead evaluation and selection across cross-functional stakeholder teams
Draft and negotiate contracts and customize deal-specific commercial terms and conditions
Follow supplier engagement, contract negotiation, and execution processes to ensure compliance
Provide project status and savings reporting using Chain IQ and client tools
Partner with global Chain IQ colleagues on coordination, supplier management, process implementation, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain concentration and/or MBA would be a plus)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT Sourcing roles in relevant IT categories
Demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience with major IT suppliers and/or global telecom carriers
Ability to draft and negotiate contracts with limited additional legal support
Ability to structure contracts with multiple concurrent schedules, annexes, supply orders, and attachments across multiple global regions
Experience identifying savings and cost-reduction opportunities in IT contract negotiations and developing negotiating strategies
Ability to manage engagement risk and document risk-sharing scenarios in contracts
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with and influence senior clients/stakeholders
Ability to quickly understand and apply new business, governance, supplier pricing, contracting, sourcing tools, and process concepts
Ability to organize and prioritize initiatives to tight deadlines
