About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business, technology, procurement, finance, legal, and risk stakeholders
  • Provide category expertise and market intelligence across key technology domains
  • Lead enterprise-wide category, sourcing, and supplier strategies
  • Drive complex, high-value sourcing engagements from opportunity identification through supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Design and execute commercial and negotiation strategies optimizing cost, value, service quality, risk management, and supplier innovation
  • Deliver market insights, benchmarking, and supplier intelligence
  • Lead negotiations of complex technology agreements
  • Build and manage executive-level supplier relationships
  • Partner with Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Risk, and Supply Chain teams on governance, regulatory, and contractual requirements
  • Mentor peers, share category expertise, support capability development, and drive continuous improvement and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education in business, procurement, supply chain, information technology, finance, or a related discipline
  • 6+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement experience
  • Extensive experience leading complex, high-value technology sourcing initiatives within multinational, highly matrixed organizations
  • Deep expertise across software and SaaS, cloud services, infrastructure and data centers, telecommunications and network services, cybersecurity, hardware and end-user computing, managed services, and IT professional services
  • Ability to develop category strategies, leverage market intelligence, and influence technology investment decisions
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with senior business, technology, and executive leaders
  • Advanced commercial and financial acumen, including TCO, financial modeling, business case development, benchmarking, spend analytics, savings identification, and value realization
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex technology, outsourcing, cloud, software licensing, and managed services agreements
  • Strong understanding of supplier markets, commercial models, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements, and information security considerations
  • Proficiency with SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Archlet, Apadua, SAP, Power BI, Excel, and contract lifecycle management tools
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking, executive presence, commercial leadership, and deep market expertise to deliver measurable business outcomes
