About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support and execute category strategies for transport, warehouse, packaging, MRO, tooling, PPE, and safe workwear
Drive cost optimization, supply continuity, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation
Source, negotiate, and manage transportation and warehousing service providers across key markets
Execute sourcing activities for transport, warehousing, and consumables
Prepare and run RFQs/RFPs, including eAuctions
Negotiate rates, service levels, and contractual terms
Deliver year-on-year logistics cost optimization through rate reviews, lane optimization, and capacity balancing
Manage regional supplier relationships with OEMs, dealers, leasing companies, and service providers
Ensure compliance with local regulations, food standards, and safety requirements
Act as commercial interface between internal stakeholders and external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent professional experience
Fluency in English is required
German is highly desirable
2–4+ years of experience in sourcing or category management
Experience with logistics and consumables sourcing, transport, warehouse, packaging, MRO, tooling, PPE, and safe workwear categories
Experience with RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract management
Experience in logistics and operationally intensive environments is highly desirable
Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
Comfortable working in international, matrix-driven organizations
Execution-oriented with a strong operational mindset
Structured, pragmatic, and resilient in fast-paced environments
Curiosity and motivation to deepen transportation and logistics expertise in an aviation context
