Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the platform’s modernization by setting technical direction, making architectural trade-offs, and executing incremental migrations with safe rollouts
Review code, write and challenge design documents, contribute prototypes or targeted fixes, and resolve difficult technical problems and production incidents
Hire engineers, set expectations, provide feedback, manage performance, and support career growth
Work with Product and upstream teams to turn customer needs and industry changes into an executable roadmap
Make priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs explicit and follow through on commitments
Set standards for reliability, latency, throughput, and data correctness
Improve observability, testing, incident response, and on-call practices
Lead the team operating Compliance Core’s blockchain-risk platform, which screens transfers and withdrawals, reassesses exposure, aggregates risk, and supports real-time monitoring

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience building and operating high-throughput, event-driven distributed systems
Strong hands-on engineering judgment, including implementation details and architectural decision-making
Experience managing engineers, including coaching, performance management, and career development
Evidence of improving team effectiveness and engineering quality
Track record of delivering complex technical initiatives across teams
Ability to break ambiguous problems into manageable steps
Ability to balance immediate customer needs with longer-term platform investment
Collaborative leadership style
Interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies, or eagerness to learn
