About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform
  • Operate and evolve multi-tenant Kubernetes EKS clusters
  • Own the operational side of the migration from managed Kafka/MSK to WarpStream
  • Build platform tooling and reconcilers using Go and the Kubernetes API
  • Design and maintain networking and security infrastructure, including transit gateways, GCP interconnect, ingress, security groups, IAM policies, and IRSA
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to infrastructure incidents
  • Write and improve runbooks and use incident patterns to improve AI automation
  • Report to the Senior Manager of Platform Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of platform engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, and VPC
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes in production
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code; Terraform strongly preferred, or Pulumi/CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or shell scripting; Go preferred
  • Comfort with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with on-call and incident response
  • Experience with Kubernetes operators/controllers, streaming infrastructure, networking, regulated environments, or GitOps patterns is advantageous
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions
  • Must not require sponsorship to maintain United States work authorization
