About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the financial strategy, forecasting, pricing models for services and products, and financial operations
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts
- Design and optimize pricing models for products and services bids
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to the CEO
- Support accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Manage routine accounting and financial administrative tasks, including expense tracking, invoice preparation and submission, receipt management, transaction entry, and basic account reconciliation
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Coordinate with outsourced accountants and auditors as needed
- Provide financial insights for business development and investment decisions
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level
- Attend on-site meetings in Fairfax for operational and leadership needs
- Liaise with the outsourced accounting team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive, preferably in a small to mid-sized Government Consulting business
- Expertise in financial planning, pricing strategies, and forecasting
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience pricing products is a plus
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work part-time with flexible hours, including on-site presence in Fairfax
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen
- Require computer camera to be on for all meetings
- Continuous verbal and written communication with others to exchange information
- Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Must continuously be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures
- Must continuously be able to gather and classify information
- Must continuously use logic to analyze and interpret information and prioritize
