About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and monitor reference farms engaged in sheep production
  • Consolidate and enter data
  • Produce technical benchmarks and references
  • Develop standard farm case studies and contribute to the regional network
  • Disseminate technical references to farmers, technicians, and organizations
  • Support the sheep and goat sectors by organizing training sessions and information days
  • Collaborate with technical and financial partners
  • Serve as the regional technical advisor for organic small-ruminant production
  • Work with performance monitoring advisors and farm business advisors at the Chamber of Agriculture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree, BTS qualification, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of livestock farming, particularly sheep and goat production
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confident public-speaking and presentation skills
  • Good listening skills, energy, and thoroughness
  • Strong organizational and methodological skills
  • Good analytical, summarization, and writing skills
  • Ability to take initiative and make recommendations
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Ability to work independently when carrying out assignments
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborate, communicate, and share knowledge
