About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct agronomic monitoring of drinking water catchment areas
- Provide individual and group advice and follow-up to farmers, including through field visits and trials
- Deliver training, including Certiphyto training
- Promote, sell, and provide PAC online declaration services
- Support farmers with fertilizer planning, spreading records, and pesticide-use registers using Mesparcelles
- Coordinate the Manche MAEC program
- Inform and advise farmers
- Conduct agri-environmental assessments
- Complete training and receive mentoring when taking up the position
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum two-year post-secondary qualification
- Demonstrated experience in the relevant fields
- Interest in agronomy and related regulations
- Knowledge of plant protection products
- Knowledge of mixed crop-livestock farming systems
- Motivation for a consulting role
- Strong customer listening skills
- Enjoyment of fieldwork
- Commercial skills to develop the branch's client portfolio
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Category B driving licence
- Certiphyto certification would be an asset
