About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support sales and demand functions in delivering business and financial objectives
Serve as a strategic and commercial finance partner to North American sales, marketing, and leadership teams
Analyze and optimize channel-specific and customer-specific profitability
Analyze Route to Market structures and portfolio margin profiles
Execute pricing strategies and evaluate promotional elasticity with the Strategic Revenue Management team
Model sales-channel performance and optimize Net Sales Value and Gross Sales Value
Oversee planning, forecasting, tracking, and control of the Trade Expenditure budget
Evaluate trade promotion effectiveness, spending efficiency, and return on investment
Assess outstanding trade expense commitments for trade accruals during periodic close
Provide financial governance over commercial overhead and Advertising & Consumer Promotion budgets
Represent finance in Step 2 of the S&OP+ Demand Management Review
Conduct market research, financial modeling, and scenario analysis for annual and multi-year Business Plans
Assess local innovation business cases and post-launch performance
Prepare forecasts, month-end variance analyses, trend commentary, executive reports, business reviews, and ad hoc analyses
Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and Demand teams
Collaborate with Regional and Global FP&A teams to integrate reporting and standardize financial frameworks
Coach, train, and guide junior finance staff and cross-functional team members
Report to the Finance Director, NORAM

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related analytical field
6+ years of progressive finance experience, with a heavy emphasis on commercial finance, sales finance, trade management, or financial planning
Experience within an FMCG, CPG, or Food & Beverage environment is highly preferred
MBA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional credentials preferred
Ability to analyze customer/channel dynamics, portfolio mix, pricing strategy, and trade promotions
Experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI development, and performance scorecards
Experience with trade expenditure planning, forecasting, tracking, controlling, accruals, and close governance
Ability to collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Demand, Regional FP&A, and Global FP&A teams
