About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare financial analysis, business reporting and operational financial reporting
  • Support short-term and long-term financial planning processes, including annual budget, latest estimate updates and strategic growth plan
  • Analyze financial performance against KPIs and provide actionable recommendations
  • Facilitate corporate reporting and KPI monitoring
  • Report and analyze financial statements and corporate results, including sales volume, revenue, COGS, ingredient, packaging, manufacturing, SGA and related costs
  • Facilitate monthly business reviews and report financial performance to the executive team and parent company
  • Prepare monthly financial and operational KPI reports and management report packages
  • Partner with Accounting to enhance ERP data capture and FP&A reporting
  • Coordinate with IT to identify reporting needs and facilitate report development
  • Provide management analysis, what-if analysis, scenario planning and business case reviews
  • Coordinate with global regions on reporting and KPI reviews
  • Build the annual budget and long-term financial strategic growth plan
  • Manage financial planning software and act as the corporate expert for related questions
  • Serve as primary FP&A contact for corporate parent enquiries and align submissions with parent guidelines
  • Assess risks and opportunities and help manage their impact on financial performance
  • Drive SGA cost savings, own SGA reporting and manage corporate SGA spending
  • Develop cost-saving initiatives and corporate benchmarking
  • Meet with stakeholders to manage spending and identify opportunities
  • Mentor, develop and manage junior staff as required
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a finance role
  • Minimum two years’ experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred
  • Very strong financial writing skills and ability to tell the story around the numbers
  • Experience with ERP systems, including reporting tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to management requests
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and stress and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Willingness to work extended days and weekends as necessary
