About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide specialist WHS advice, guidance and support to leaders and team members
- Implement and continuously improve WHS policies, procedures, systems and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and business requirements
- Manage WHS projects
- Conduct site visits, inspections and audits
- Support incident investigations
- Oversee WHS reporting and compliance activities
- Provide WHS training and consultation across stores, distribution centres and support office
- Develop and maintain WHS policies, procedures, reports, training materials and safety initiatives
- Monitor WHS and WorkCover reporting, systems and statistics to identify improvement opportunities
- Support and coach the WHS team
- Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified WHS professional
- Minimum Cert IV in WHS
- 5+ years’ practical WHS/OHS experience
- Strong understanding of WHS and WorkCover legislation
- Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply them in a practical business environment
- Organised, adaptable and confident communicator
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence positive safety outcomes
- Previous experience in a multi-site retail environment highly regarded
