About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enter and manage advertising orders in designated advertising systems
- Coordinate ad trafficking for print and digital publications
- Review, proof, and finalize advertisements for accuracy and quality
- Support publisher sales representatives with advertising workflows and deadlines
- Resolve advertising-related issues and provide operational support
- Process legal notice submissions for timely publication
- Enter classified advertising orders
- Manage obituary processing and publication requests
- Assist with circulation, customer service, accounting, HR, and other managed service functions
- Investigate and resolve advertising inquiries for customer service teams
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners
- Maintain accurate records and data in company systems
- Follow established workflows, quality standards, and deadlines
- Use Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant customer service or related administrative/order-processing experience
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software applications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service experience and a collaborative work style
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel preferred
- Experience in newspaper publishing, media operations, advertising, customer service, or related industries preferred
- Experience with advertising order entry, ad trafficking, or publication systems preferred
